Melissa lost her home and her son to fire a few months ago. There is nothing that can replace her son, but the Compassion Fund was able to help her move into a new home. She says, " I cannot begin to explain exactly what the Compassion Fund has done for me. It has given me hope that I can go on. I have something to look forward to, knowing that I have a place I can call home.
Chaplain explains that so much of our work is done with our hands. Our hope is that every touch would convey reverence, compassion, patience and peace.

Chautauqua has joined together in prayer for a 5yr old boy in our community that has recently undergone a "stem cell transplant".
