On April 13, 2017 Chautauqua Rehabilitation and Nursing Center celebrated the annual companywide “Spring Break Day” event. The goal of the event is to get residents out of buildings, active and having fun. Residents enjoyed perfect weather, hot dogs, hamburgers, and live entertainment by Little Jimmy Reed. All the smiling faces, of both residents, staff members, and family proved the day to be a success!

Chautauqua Rehabilitation and Nursing Center residents enjoyed and displayed their art for the Downtown Arts Night held on Friday, April 7, 2017. Downtown Arts Night is a collective effort to show case regional local artists and handcrafters. This event had over 50 artists, artisans, craftsmen, and food vendors lined the streets of Historic Downtown DeFuniak Springs from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. To provide the community with an evening of Art, Food, Music, & Fun.your longer narrative description.

“You never get too old to enjoy life,” said a 91-year-old Signature resident who traveled to Panama City Beach, Fla. earlier this year, the fourth consecutive year Signature has taken groups of residents on vacation. Residents, staff, and family members gathered outdoors to Celebrate the 4th with a tailgate-style cook-out. The maintenance guys fired up the grill as the rest of us worked diligently to get the elders out and fix plates before the rain set in. We had hamburgers, chips and dip, watermelon, smoked ham salad, cookies, and cupcakes. It was a great day!
Signature HealthCARE received the citation in the ‘Facilitating Organizational Change’ category for its Executive CNA Program. The award recognizes organizations for results achieved through the use of practices and solutions from the entire scope of talent development.
